The 1nd Runner up of The AprilCentaur Prize

Oyindamola Depo. O - A Lagos Morning.

A Lagos Morning" explores the tenacity and ambition of the average Lagosian youth; as well as the paradox that is Nigeria's commercial capital, a place where dreams live but are constantly fighting being choked.

Oyindamola Depo Oyedokun places the reader in the shoes and mind of a young woman as she makes her way to a potentially life-changing interview.

The story shines in its execution and captures readers who engaged with it most of all.

The common rave was about its relatability to the young Nigerian’s struggle and the mind-boggling struggle for the promise of a great future.

We are advocates of literary expression, and our mission is to empower the next generation of Nigerian storytellers, nurturing their talents and celebrating their creativity.
In a digital age that often competes for attention, we recognize the importance of fostering a love for the written word and encouraging young minds to explore the limitless possibilities of storytelling.
By providing a platform that amplifies their voices and celebrates their unique perspectives, we aim to cultivate a literary landscape that will reflect the rich tapestry of Nigerian culture.
Together, we can serve as a catalyst for our needed literary renaissance, fuel the imagination of a new generation of writers and capture the spirit of Nigeria's storytelling tradition.
Join us in this transformative journey and let the power of words shape our future!
